My First Time Volunteering at Camillian

I started helping out at Camillian, and it was really great! I learned a lot and feel thankful for it. Why I Decided to Volunteer: Why Camillian Chiang Rai: What I Did as a Volunteer: Cooking up meals in the kitchen |

What I Gained from Volunteering: At first, the idea of living with special-needs children was a bit intimidating. But now, it's a joy because I can chat with them using words, signs, and body language. I'll always cherish sweet moments, like a surprise hug from a child during breakfast or a girl who can't hear laughing heartily. The kids at Camillian were amazing and made me feel really welcome. |

Volunteering there felt like being part of a family. I also got a taste of Thai culture - their food, clothes, and festivals. Visiting other Camillian Centers in San Camillo Hospital, Rayong and Nan showed me different vibes, but the warm hospitality was just like at Camillian Chiang Rai. Attending a unique village mass and sharing dinner with the locals made me feel like I truly belonged. After four months of volunteering, it's been an incredibly fulfilling and inspiring experience. |

Now it's time to bid farewell, but Camillian Chiang Rai will forever hold a special place in my heart. Those kids and everyone there were amazing, and I'm eagerly looking forward to seeing them again.
