As a Physical Therapist my volunteer experience at Camillian Center was very rewarding. Over the two weeks I was able to get to know the children, their caring staff, and the primary issues. I only speak English but enough staff that could assist me in my understanding of history and current problems was appreciated. I have worked with both young and old individuals with similar physical therapy needs but my skills were rusty. However, the staff were supportive and appreciative of anything I could contribute. As the time progressed I realized that everything I tried allowed the children and staff to see new directions possible.

The accommodations were very nice, the food was good and, although there was a lot of quiet time in the evenings I felt my days were full and fulfilling. The great Wifi was welcome in my down time.

I would certainly recommend the volunteer experience to anyone that has skills which may be of help.
